* General Creek to McKinney Creek Loop: From the camp ground ignore the first 2 intersections, these are the General Creek Loop, follow the Lost Lake sign posts.  Mile 3.5 - an intersection with the right turn being marked no bikes, stay to the left for a short down hill into a lush meadow.  Mile 4.5 - you'll hit some tricky, loose climbing.  Mile 5.5 - turn left across General Creek at the Lost Lake sign post, this is mostly "hike-a-bike".  At the end of the trail you reach a jeep road, left is Lost Lake so turn right towards the Rubicon Jeep Trail.  You'll climb about a mile, then its down hill to mile 7.0 and the Rubicon Jeep Trail, turn right.  Take your next right and you're on McKinney Rubicon which will take you down to Hwy-89.  Once at Hwy-89, turn right and follow the bike trail into Sugar Pine Point State Park.  Total loop is 14 miles.

* General Creek to Lost Lake: All the ratings for the above apply to this route.  Same as the above trail except when you dead end into the jeep trail, turn left towards Lost Lake. Duck Lake will be the first lake you see, continue to Lost Lake.  Reverse route to get back.  Total out & back is 14 miles.

* General Creek Loop: Elevation Gain 170', easy beginner ride.  Head out of the campground like the above 2 rides.  Mile 2.5 turn left over the bridge.  Mile 4.0 turn left over the bridge for a shorter ride back to the campground or continue on the fire road to Hwy-89.  Use the shoulder of Hwy-89 or go to the picnic area to connect with the bike path to the campground.  Total distance is 6 miles.

Directions to Trailheads:
Just South of Tahoma on California Hwy.89 in Sugar Pine Point State Park. Either park outside of Sugar Pine & ride in or pay the $2 and park in the day use area. Once inside the park, ride all the way to the far end of the camp sites, trail head is at camp sites 149-151.
