To Maximize Your Experience & That Of Others, Take Note of the Below Items.  Lake Tahoe Is A Delicate Area & We Need To Be Sensitive To It's Issues In Order To Keep Our Trails Open As Well As To Promote Further Trail Development!

Rim Trail: between Mt. Rose Hwy & Tunnel Creek
The Forest Service and Rim Trail committee, in an attempt to minimize user conflicts between equestrians, hikers and bikers on this new, and very popular section of Rim Trail have decided to break up the use a bit. Bikers are restricted to Even days only (the 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc) while the other groups have free rein. Maybe not completely fair, but even days are much better than no days at all!
IMBA: International Mountain Biking Association
IMBA as established a protocol based on common sense and safety for all trail users.  No we're not trying to tell you how to act but you should be familiar with the rules of the trail.  Who knows? one of these days you may actually grow up and be sorry that you were one of the riders who helped to close that trail!
