"Back in the day" all Quads were either Cro-mo or Reynolds 531 steel.
Notable "Old School" parts on this bike are: JMC forks, Haro brake lever, blue Comp 4 tires.  If you've never seen JMC's frame and fork... they used tear drop tubing which was a lot flatter than any tubing of that type used today in bmx, the fork looked as if you could bend it to the side just by kicking it!  The trick seats back in the late 70's early 80's had no padding, came in various colors and were drilled for lightness.  The UNI seats that small kids use now were widely used by all back then.

This particular bike was mine!  I had worked a couple weeks plowing fields in Oklahoma to raise the money for the frame and when I got back to California... my first call was to Wes's BMX in New York, a week later my $114.00 Quad frame arrived.  I was told that I was the first in Northern California to have the then new SE Racing Quad Angle, back then there wasn't a lot of exotic frame designs so my bike turned heads wherever I went.  I thought I was sooo kewl!
