Great ride and well worth the
trip from where ever you're coming from!
I love snapping shots with my digital camera
so your going to have to put up with all my photos as you read
along.
Here We Go...
There is 35 miles of trail and nearly 5,000 acres of rolling
hills, intermittent streams, meadows and woodland that are virtually
unmarred by modern intrusions. You'll be sharing
the trails with hikers, horsemen, photographers, anglers, and
joggers so be careful as they could be around any corner. Elevations
in the park vary from 360 to around 1,880 feet, typical California
coastal terrain, redwood groves, oak woodlands, brush/grass
hills and lots of rocks. There are restrooms and
picnic tables scattered around the whole park
Climate...
Temperatures are moderate.
Daytime high temperatures during the summer are in the 80s and
90s, wintertime highs are in the 50s, at least that's what they
say, LOL, the times I have been there it seemed pretty darn
hot! Rainfall averages about 30 inches a year, most
of it during the winter and early spring and there is little
fog at times.
What I Think?
I rode here a couple of years ago and wasn't real impressed
but now that they have made single track out of some of the
double track I LOVE IT!
I really dig tight, technical single track and
there is just enough of it here to keep me interested as well
as plenty of trails to just cruise and enjoy the sites on.
It is my opinion that Annadel has plenty to offer all abilities.
The only thing that you will not be able to avoid is some climbing,
but after all... this is mountain biking.
